Planting Burlap & Basket Trees
Step 1
Dig hole 3X wider than the diameter of the basket.
Step 2
Set basket in hole. The root collar should be visible above ground once the tree is planted.
Step 3
Remove twine & peel burlap away from top of root ball.
Step 4
Cut wire basket ~ 10cm below surface or bend back and bury.
Step 5
Moisten soil & backfill.
Step 6
Build a water holding berm outside the rootball.
